We are dedicated to delivering premium seafood products that respect marine ecosystems while meeting the highest quality standards. Our commitment to sustainability ensures that future generations can enjoy the ocean's bounty, with complete traceability from sea to plate.

PelaBlue Seafood Inc. (DE) is a purveyor of high-quality frozen seafood products.
We have over three decades of commercial fishing and seafood industry experience and expertise.
With eco-friendly and sustainable products in greater demand, our goal is to offer direct-to-your-doorstep wild caught seafood sourced from responsible harvesters and providers to ensure the finest quality products.

We believe that supporting vibrant and responsible fishing communities is essential for the stewardship of our oceans and creating economic opportunity for all stakeholders.
Seafood done right is healthy, eco-friendly, sustainable, and can help provide nutrition and skilled jobs for generations to come.
A good framework focused on social and environmental benefits plays a key role in organizational goals, like revenue growth and maximizing shareholder value.
We believe that sustainable food systems are built on the principles of accountability and transparency – seafood traceability.
The seafood industry is broken filled with poor-quality fish, safety concerns, illegal fishing practices and deceitful (mislabeling) representation, especially from imports.
This is a moral and ethical failure, produced by an opaque system driven by opportunities to put profits ahead of the health of consumers, fishermen and our environment.

The name "PELABLUE" comes from two fishing related terms: "Pelagic" and "Blue Economy."
The word "Pelagic" is derived from Ancient Greek (pelages), meaning "Open Sea."
"Blue Economy" is the "sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of ocean ecosystems."

Nearly 72% of the Earth is covered in water. Estimated 97% of that water is salty ocean water and not suitable for drinking.
The World Bank estimates that the ocean absorbs about 25% of carbon dioxide added to the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels.
The "blue economy" concept seeks to promote economic growth, social inclusion, and the preservation or improvement of livelihoods while at the same time ensuring environmental sustainability of the oceans and coastal areas.

We support U.S. seafood jobs throughout the supply chain, from fisherman to local retailers.
No "high seas" factory vessels employing unsafe and unfair labor practices, only U.S. artisanal, hardworking, responsible harvesters and properly trained and regulated foreign crews who respect the oceans.
We want to help educate and provide skills training for today's fishermen and seafood workers dedicated to the livelihood of their families and future generation.

We proudly support responsible, sustainable and traceable fishing and seafood practices and fisheries certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard, a science-based set of requirements for sustainable fishing set forth by Marine Stewardship Council (MSC).
We plan to offer only wild-caught fish and seafood sustainably sourced from MSC certified fisheries bearing the Blue Fish label OR rated green or yellow by Monterey Bay Aquarium (MBA) Seafood Watch and in compliance with NOAA Fisheries, a U.S. gov. agency responsible for the stewardship of the nation's ocean resources and their habitat.
We hold our ourselves to high standards in harvesting, sourcing, processing, packaging and shipping of our products.

Fisheries are assessed by an independent, third-party auditor (not the MSC) and must prove they meet all three principles of the MSC Fishery Standard.
There are enough fish left in the sea to reproduce so fishing can continue indefinitely.
Fishing operations must be carefully managed to maintain the structure, productivity, function, and diversity of the marine ecosystem.
The fishery must comply with relevant laws and have a management system that allows it to respond quickly to changes in the status quo.
Seafood Watch assesses how specific fisheries or farms perform against rigorous environmental sustainability standards and then assigns ratings based on the outcomes.
